Climate Control: An Amazing Little Drink For Your Skin
You know the refreshing feeling of a cold drink on a hot day? Or a drink of water at the end of a long run? You can literally feel the liquid flowing through your body and balancing it out again! Well, what if you were able to do that to your skin from the outside too??
Enter Climate Control, an anti-aging moisturiser formulated to provide extra moisture when your skin needs it most!
How does Climate Control work?
Climate Control works by getting moisture deeper into the layers of your skin, which is just what we want, since once our skin cells reach the outer layer they die, and it’s not really going to help our skin much by working with the dead bits!
It’s made up of 2 different ‘delivery systems’ unique to Senegence – Selplex and SenePlex Complex. SenePlex Complex is the anti-aging complex which is included in all of the skincare products, and SelPlex is formulated to be a highly moisturising fluid, which doesn’t have any emulsifiers in it (think the same job that cornflour does to your crockpot liquid), so it means it can help dispense the SenePlex Complex deeper into your skin. Basically it’s like sending a funnel in to your pores first and then pouring anti-aging moisturiser through it afterwards. Much more efficient than just slapping it on the surface!
Why does Climate Control work?
When we take into consideration the structure of our skin, and knowing that nature vs nuture comes into play as our skin cells go through their life cycle, the condition of the cells and the environment around them when they start is what they will carry through to the end. If we can provide our skin with as much TLC as we can when the cells are new (from inside and out), they’ll have a better chance of being healthier as they move to the surface and the end of their life cycle.
What is in Climate Control?
As with all Senegence products, Climate Control is a delicate blend of science and nature. It includes many essential oil extracts, vitamins and some humectants (moisturising agents used to retain moisture). As well as SelPlex and SenePlex Complex, some of the other beneficial ingredients include Evening Primrose Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sandalwood Oil and Vitamin E – all great moisturising products.
Who should use Climate Control?
If you’ve got dry or sensitive skin, this is great for you! The skin cells of people with sensitive skin can often lack moisture which in turn creates dryness. Dry skin can create irritation, and this shows itself as ‘heat’ on sensitive skin.
Climate Control helps to increase the moisture content of the skin, and within 8 weeks of use, the time it takes for new cells to form gets faster, and it increases the ability for the skin to have proper moisture content.
Climate control is also great if you find your skin changes between seasons. If you hear your skin telling you “I need more moisture”, Climate Control is the perfect solution.
When should you use Climate Control?
Climate Control is best used as part of your daily skincare routine, both morning and night, and you can apply it to your face, eyes and throat. It’s really important not to let it dry before you moisturise, as the moisturiser seals it in.
When you go to use it the first time, make sure you shake it REALLY well (like VIGOUROUSLY), because the two ‘delivery systems’ (SelPlex Complex and SenePlex Complex) sit separately until you’re ready to use them. SelPlex Complex sits on the bottom and SenePlex Complex sits on the top. Shaking them together activates the active ingredients in SenePlex.
So there you have it. That’s Climate Control in a nutshell. It’s great for dry and sensitive skin, and at times where you feel like your skin needs extra moisture.
